Inside Sales Representative

Ottawa, Ontario, Canada | Full-time | Allows remote


FranchiseBlast is a software solution used by almost 100 franchisors worldwide to improve the performance of their franchisees. It's likely you've recently eaten at a restaurant where food safety was audited by our popular franchisee field audit app.  

We are looking for someone who can make a significant impact at FranchiseBlast in an inside sales / business development role.

Here are the required skills: 

  • 1 year experience in selling enterprise software-as-a-service solutions
  • Good listening skills and empathy 
  • Comfortable with technology – ability to adapt to the technological level of the interlocutor and provide simple explanations 
  • Be confident without falling into arrogance
  • Possess previous experience working in a fast-paced/startup environment 
  • Detail-oriented; be able to mention what the two founders of the company studied in university in their motivation letter 
  • Ability to self-motivate, plan and manage time, develop your own working structures and seek to improve procedures on an ongoing basis 
  • Ambitious and demanding, determined to succeed and willing to move forward in a changing environment 
  • Excellent written and spoken English, ideally bilingual (French) 
  • Having the audacity and flair for identifying opportunities, but also patience and resilience.
  • Ability to travel to the United States for conferences or prospect/customer meetings


  • Creative : Able to recognize a need and find the best way to fill it 
  • Self motivated and independent
  • Excellent understanding of the various business operations (legal, sales, accounting) to see things from the franchisor’s perspective. 
  • University degree, new graduates welcome

Your Mission 

  • Lead generation, demos and follow-ups 
  • Develop strategies and apply best practices in sales 
  • Work with the development team to identify requested features or ways to simplify the product 


Note: This is an entry-level position at FranchiseBlast where the majority of the work is performing cold calls and solliciting via email and social media. Over time, it may progress into an account management or customer success role.
